CSAT: Computer Science Aptitudes Test

Who needs to take it?

The CSAT is required for entry to Computer Science at Peterhouse or Trinity College, Cambridge. The relevant college will invite you to take the test if needed. You do not need to take it in advance of applying.

It should be taken in addition to the TMUA.

Key dates

The date for 2025 has not yet been announced. Last year it took place in early December.

Format

It is organised by Climb, a non-profit spin-out from the University of Cambridge, and is administered online by Mercer-Mettl.

The test consists of two parts and candidates can choose which questions from each part to answer.

Results

Results will be made available to the college you have applied to.

Cost

There is no cost.
